Nuked my Windows installation, disabled AC install from BIOS, now it´s 100% fixed and my 5800X is a little colder than before. exe specific to Windows was crashing and before that it was Asus software making things go down. Restore point wouldnt work as Windows would reboot while trying to restore. Uninstalled AC, it sort of fixed the problem, but there was still processes from Asus and the folders were there full of things.ĥ minutes it just random rebooted.

My system was stable and Armoury Crate updated, it then made my system start to bluescreen itself, though it was my GPU (also updated my drivers in the meantime) unninstalled everything, and after like 2 min it would still crash. Yeah I had the same problem (well almost) last monday. Not sure if there are any ASUS employees on this sub - in case you are please go to your software department and demand them to fix this. I hope this helps someone (I can't be the only one who needs to do a clean uninstall, right?) and maybe ASUS fixes there software soon. Why is there no legacy download for ASUS AURA? I understand that you can't support every device when creating new software but at least supply me with an older version that is working for me? Why is this so complicated? It feels like I am removing ad ware or a virus from my grand mothers notebook - and not like I am uninstalling software that is supposed to work with my 140€ motherboard. If you don't do this step Armour圜rate will recreate the complete folder structure that you deleted in the previous step and will still launch itself on boot. Delete it.ĭownload CC Cleaner and remove all unused registry entries - there are a lot of entries that lead to the "ASUS" path. Go to C:\Programs and C:\Programs (x86) and find the "ASUS" Folder. Open the Task Manager and kill the "Armour圜rate" and "ASUS ROG" Task. Uninstall anything that has to do with ASUS or Armoury (somehow Armoury also installed Patriot Viper Software (RAM + SSD) allthough I don't have any Patriot RGB Devices.? - uninstall that as well) Open your System Control Panel and open the page where you can uninstall programs Because I'm tired of trouble shooting stupid RGB Software and because I found OpenRGB (it's running without any issues, except the RAM can't save the configuration) I wanted to uninstall Armoury Crate. While ASUS AURA was able to find both my ASUS X470 Prime Pro Motherboard and my GSKILL RGB RAM Armour圜rate just tells me that it can't find any devices. But Armoury Crate doesn't find A SINGLE DEVICE in my System. Wasn't surprised at all so I uninstalled it to then install the newest version of ASUS AURA, just to find out it is called "Armour圜rate" now. COMMAND admin > Type “sc config sysmain start=disabled” and press Enter. After a few years I got tired of my RGB Settings and wanted to change them, so I tried to start my 2 years old ASUS AURA Install which instantly lead to a crash. Run > services.msc > left click SYSMAIN properties > disable.

Reinstall armory crate again and update your windows and install missing drivers manually from MyAsus or official website. Backup your files and do a factory reset. ✓ Disable Cortana with regedit and command ✓ Task manager: high CPU/memory/disk usage ✓ Troubleshoot everything in Update & Security ✓ Disable inessential programs on startup Have forgotten which worked so here's everything I did : My idle temperature used to be high but now it sits at 33☌.
